The project.

Conduit Road is a period townhouse in Stamford that was renovated and extended throughout, keeping its original character. It was the first project the team took on. A rear extension added a kitchen and dining space opening onto the garden.

Why the partnership made sense.

A first project that set the standard: respect the original house, then make it work for a modern family.

Our approach.

    01 · Find

    a period townhouse in a historic stone-built market town.

    02 · Plan

    renovate throughout and add a rear extension for an open kitchen and dining space.

    03 · Build

    new gas central heating and a high-quality fit-out, with bi-folding doors from the kitchen and garden room to the garden.

    04 · Finish

    original features kept where possible, including stripped pine doors, sash windows, a quarry-tiled hall and a stained glass front door, plus a fully refitted bathroom and a fully enclosed garden with decked seating area and gravelled courtyard.

Stamford.

Stamford is a historic stone-built market town with good schools, shops, restaurants and a Friday produce market. The A1 is nearby, trains run to Peterborough, and London is about 50 minutes beyond that.
